The Billion Dollar Fighter

The Billion Dollar Fighter

Floyd "Money" Mayweather brings his illustrious boxing career to a close after a 10th round knockout of Connor McGregor, MMA's two Division World Champion. As he has his entire career, Floyd gave the fans what they wanted to see.

It wouldn't go the distance. Floyd repeatedly told the world that it wouldn't and it didn't.

For 21 years Floyd has given the fans what they wanted to see but in all honestly, fans were hoping to see Floyd lose...something he has never done in his professional boxing career. Floyd took the desire of the fans hate and envy and made professional boxers, future hall of fame boxers look foolish while making himself the highest paid athlete, the first billion dollar fighter ever!!!

God has only made one thing perfect and that is Floyd Mayweathers boxing record. 50-0

For years Floyd has done charitable work in his community, provided opportunities for others and made the lives of many better. His last act put himself and his children and their children in position to live comfortably for the foreseeable future. What is most impressive about it all is that Floyd Money Mayweather did it his way.

Floyd Mayweather arguably the pound for pound best fighter to ever lace up the gloves will undoubtedly be inducted to the boxing hall of fame but what is as equally impressive is the way he not only changed the sport of boxing but how he changed sports in general. LeBron James and other world class elite athletes has emulated Floyd's business blueprint and for the first time in sports, we are seeing athletes build billion brands that they now know how to leverage and cash in on thanks to Floyd "Money" Mayweather.

As someone who has watched Floyd's entire career inside and outside the ring, I remain inspired by his work ethic and his ability to take control of his career while taking over the sport of boxing.

Their will never be another Floyd Mayweather in the sport of boxing, not inside the ring or outside of it. The Best Ever of our generation. Lets just call it what it is.

Well done Money May. Congrats on a successful career.
